Our Mission

The Advanced Health Research Institute was formed to engage in, and fund, Scientific Research in the field of human health based on natural principles of wellness; elevate the public and professional awareness in the field of natural health and healing; provide reports, pamphlets, books, and/or audio and video materials to educate the public and healthcare professionals; and provide funding for natural healthcare for people in need.

AHRI was started by Richard T. Hansen, D.M.D., F.A.C.A.D., when he began to discover, through his own painstaking research, that there is a direct connection between oral health and the health of the whole body.

As he continued his exploration into this field, he found that there was a complicated system of interconnections of organs and functions throughout the body, and that there is really no such thing as a disease or dysfunction that is totally confined to one organ or region. In other words, the body works as a total, interconnected system and what affects one part affects it all.

Dr. Hansen began to develop associations with medical doctors, naturopaths, chiropractors, psychologists and other medical professionals who shared his interests and views. With them, he found that there are ways to preserve and protect wellness by keeping the entire Mind-Body-Mouth connection in focus during treatment for any disease, illness or dysfunction.

This new approach to total wellness is just now beginning to catch on with many health professionals. One of the goals of AHRI is to share our findings with health professionals, patients and people who are interested in preserving and protecting their health by understanding the interconnecting systems of the body, and how the body can help to heal itself when it is steered in the right direction, through proper nutrition, exercise, dietary supplements, and the responsible and informed administration of prescription medications if necessary.

AHRI has a complete Media Production department that produces brochures, videos, audio recordings, and web sites to promote and publicize the work that we do and the discoveries we have made. It is part of our commitment to improving public awareness about how you can take control of your health and well being without being at the mercy of a standard system of healthcare that is rapidly breaking down.
